Uttar Pradesh Home Guard Department has invited applications for recruitment to 15000 Home Guard (Male & Female) posts. This recruitment will be done in various districts. There have been some important changes in the Home Guard recruitment in 2024. If you are thinking of applying for this post, it is important to know about these changes.
Up Home Guard Bharti Eligibility Criteria:
The applicant must be a native of Uttar Pradesh. The minimum educational qualification required is 10th pass. Earlier it was necessary to be 10th pass, but now it is mandatory to be 12th pass. The height of male candidates should be at least 163 cm and the height of female candidates should be 158 cm. The chest of male candidates should be minimum 34 inches. Candidates will have to complete the 1600 meter race in 16 minutes.
Up Home Guard Bharti Application Process:
Interested candidates can apply online. The last date to apply is 30 November 2024. The minimum age limit has been increased from 18 years to 21 years. The maximum age limit is 40 years, although it is 45 years for ex-servicemen. Physical tests like running, high jump, long jump and sit-ups have become tougher than before. Candidates have to meet the minimum physical standards. Apart from the written test, now medical test and interview have also been made mandatory. Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit.

- For General and OBC Candidates: ₹100
- For SC and ST Candidates: ₹50

Up Home Guard Bharti Selection Process:
- Candidates will be selected through Physical Test and Medical Test.
- The physical test will include running, chest and height check.
- The medical test will check the physical fitness of the candidates.
